Terms & Conditions
The full amount of the hire is required at time of booking the umbrella hire (including delivery). This must be paid at the time of booking as confirmation of the booking.
No booking will be considered confirmed until this has been paid in full. The payment is to be in the form of Cash, Cheque, Credit Card, Bank Transfer or Paypal.
Please note: All umbrella hire fees paid via cheque will not be considered confirmed until deposit funds have cleared into Boutique Brollies account.
All payments made via cheque must be made in time for funds to clear 1 week before hire commencement.
Please note that whilst we do not take a direct bond from the hirer, a valid credit card number must be left prior to Umbrellas being dispatched, any lost or damaged charges will be advised to the hirer in writing before payment is taken.
Notification of cancellations received 30 days before the commencement of the hire will receive a full refund of the deposit minus a $25 administration fee. The entire deposit amount is forfeited for cancellations made inside 30 days before the commencement of the hire.
Handling and Care Policy
Handling and Care instructions are provided with each hiring instance. These instructions must be followed and all hirers of Boutique Brollies property must take due care of the Umbrellas during hire.
Lost or Damaged Goods
A Lost or Damage fee of the full Umbrella cost will be charged for any Umbrella returned in a condition that is irreparable and prevents it from being re-hired. This includes stains, bent or broken shafts, scratches or any wear and tear above and beyond that from normal use. The judgement of whether wear and tear has been above and beyond normal use is entirely at the discretion of Boutique Brollies. For any damage that is repairable, the full repair fee will be charged to the hirer as a Damage and Repair Fee.
Umbrella Hire Period and Usage
The period of hire is from the Thursday before your event date to the Monday after your event date. Events on Tuesday or Wednesday require next-day return. A Late Fee of $15 per day is charged for Umbrellas not returned by the day specified in this booking and hire agreement.
The hirer will return the Umbrellas on the return date and time set out in the agreement. The hirer acknowledges that Boutique Brollies will not refund any monies to them if, at their own discretion, they decide to return the Umbrellas prior to the return due date.
Boutique Brollies cannot be held liable for any costs incurred as a result of using the Umbrellas in any circumstances. While Boutique Brollies takes all care to ensure all Umbrellas are in a quality condition, the hirer takes responsibility for any use of the Umbrellas once received.
It is recommended that you check all Umbrellas before use.
Any issues brought to the attention of Boutique Brollies, including loss or damage, Must be made to Boutique brollies within 24 hours of receiving the Umbrellas.
Anything outside of this will be considered the hirer’s responsibility and fees and charges may occur as a result.
The hirer at all times shall, use the equipment in accordance with all laws and Government Regulations pertaining to the use of the equipment, and in a proper manner.
The hirer acknowledges and agrees that he/she has relied on his/her own judgment, in relation to the fitness of the equipment to perform any particular job, or function prior to signing tthe umbrella hire agreement. And further acknowledges that he/she has not communicated to the owner, its servants, or agents, the particular use to which he intend to put the equipment.
Boutique Brollies shall bear no responsibility for any injuries resulting from the use/misuse of any hire equipment or failure of such equipment supplied to the hirer. The hirer shall be responsible for all medical and transportation expenses as a result of such injuries.
